The first cool front made its way through Central Texas last week reminding us that fall is here. The cooler weather makes it a great time for area festivals and events and lots of opportunities for me to perform.

I’ll be at the 19th Annual Hairy Man Festival this weekend, the Round Rock Chalk Walk hosted by the Round Rock Area Arts Council on October 5th, and the Williamson County Annual Dinosaur Day at Champion Park on October 19.

It's been a tough week in the US. First the tragic bombing in Boston and then the fatal explosion in West, TX.

Perhaps this recoding of me singing the Star-Spangled Banner can provide some inspiration and healing as we come together as a nation and world to mourn the loss of life.

This Saturday, I will be opening up the 2013 Brushy Creek BBQ Cook-Off with the Star-Spangled Banner and then a set of original songs from my album and some cover songs you'll also like. The event is behind the Brushy Creek Community Center. Everything gets started at 11:00a, so don't be late!

I'll be performing Sunday at the Round Rock Circle of Friends Spirits and Bites event at Teravista Golf Club. This is a fundraising event to benefit Dell Children's Medical Center and the Children's Medical Center Foundation. Tickets are available at the door, so I hope to see you there!

Looking for something to do during Spring Break? It's a great night for baseball at the Dell Diamond where McNeil will be hosting Westwood. I'll be opening the game tonight by performing the The Star-Spangled Banner. The Mavericks baseball team and I hope to see you there!

I will be performing at the Swearing In Ceremony for Williamson County Commissioner Lisa Birkman next Wednesday. The event will be at the J.B. & Hallie Jester Williamson County Annex at 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd. in Round Rock. The event starts at 3:00 p.m.

I will be performing at Williamson County's 4th Annual Dinosaur Day at Champion Park in Cedar Park on Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 am.

Dino Day is a fun filled day of exploration and includes free hot dogs and chips, entertainment, an inflatable playhouse and other activities for the children. All the activities will be free and open to the public.

I had a really great time yesterday interacting with my fans after performing at the Round Rock Chalk Walk. Thanks to everyone that came out and congratulations to all of the performers and artists!

On Saturday, October 6, I will be performing at the Round Rock Chalk Walk in Downtown Round Rock. I will be on the Youth Stage at 1:30 pm and will perform a full set of original work from my album, New Day.

There will be live music, art vendors, food, free activities for kids, street performers, trick dogs, jugglers, hula hoopers, community art experiences, interactive drumming, community partners, an art auction at 6:00 pm, business vendors and much more!

Unfortunately, due to impending rain tomorrow, this year's Hairy Man Festival has been canceled and there is not currently a plan to reschedule it.

On Saturday, September 29, I will be performing at the 18th Annual Hairy Man Festival at Cat Hollow Park. Once again, I will participate in the opening ceremonies by performing the Star-spangled Banner at 11:00 am. Later in the day at 4:30 pm, I will perform a full set including original work from my album, New Day.

Make sure to bring 2 non-perishable foot items or $2 as an entry fee to the festival. The Brushy Creek Women's Association will use these proceeds for local food banks.

In addition to a full day of live music, there are great artists showing off their work, fun activities for kids, and food!

Even though it was hard work, I had so much fun making the video, and I really want to thank all my friends and fans that came out to help. I could not have done it without you!

I had a great time performing at San Antonio's First Friday Block Party. It was my first big set where I performed selections from my debut album, New Day, and it went very well.

I met another band, Elora & Gasoline Alley. They are very talented!

I had a really fun time this morning on a San Antonio television show. Cleto Rodriguez recognized me as an up and coming talent on News 4 WOAI Today, and I performed a portion of New Day for the San Antonio television viewers. Check out the video on my YouTube channel and the Videos page.

It's been a great couple of weeks as I work with DeepFoSho Entertainment on a music video for New Day. Johnnie Davis, producer, and Frankie Davis, Jr., director and videographer, have been amazing to work with on this project. Their creativity and enthusiasm have made this so much fun! I can't wait to share the results with you real soon!
